i really like the camera. it’s cool to take and look at pictures. today while we were taking my lion pictures, mommy showed me how to use the camera.

i like to get close up to things to take their picture. for a while i held my hand over the lens, but mom helped me out and showed me a better way to hold it. here are some of my shots:

this summer i’m going to stringtown park every tuesday morning to play with friends. mommy gets to hang out with her friends and most importantly, i get to play with my best bud tyler! this tuesday after playtime we had lunch at wendy’s and went to sam’s club to get yummy snacks!

this morning i put on my shoes ALL BY MYSELF!
i’ve been working on it for a while. daddy says they’re on backwards, but i think they feel fine. who says that a shoe is supposed to go on a specific foot?
so we have super ultimate zoo passes for this year. maybe i’ve said this before. i love the animals! today was especially cool because i got to touch them!
blame my mom for the absence of pictures.
they moved the children’s zoo, and thanks to help from my friend tyler’s mommy tara, we finally found it today. i saw a big tortoise walking around, but didn’t want to touch it. what’s cool about touching a shell? i did, however, pet a milk snake. it felt so cool! then we went into the barnyard area and i got to pet goats and sheep. i even got to brush their hair with a special brush. i had to make sure that i pet each and every animal in there. they were totally awesome!
my birthday is in a week and a half. go me!
last friday mommy took me to a science department party at mike’s house on lake williamstown. we were there in the fall but didn’t get there in time to ride the boat. this time we did! this was my first time on a boat and it was awesome. well, i did ride on a paddleboat last summer at jennifer and isaac’s wedding, but that doesn’t count. we took a pontoon boat out and had lots of fun. tyler and i played with the bubble gun (thanks lora and tracey!), and mike even let me drive the boat! many thanks to tyler and his parents who had an extra life jacket for me.

i loved running out on the dock and playing around. i picked some flowers, climbed steps, ran around the house, and killed bugs. it was a great time.
we had an easter party today at gina’s. she reported to my mommy that i was the best at hunting eggs! everyone else was focused on what was inside their eggs while i went around picking up as many as i could! that way you get more stuff.
tomorrow i get to go to fountain square to hunt eggs. there are supposed to be good prizes. i hope i win a trip to the aquarium!

things are going well on the road to my second birthday! i love telling my parents good night and cuddling with all my stuffed animals in my crib.

we’ve been staying home a lot lately because of the snow – mommy doesn’t have school. today we went to the library and i attended my first “toddler time.” i used to go to baby time, but at this class we get to do crafts! today we learned about the color orange and got to mix red and yellow play-doh. we still get to play with bubbles and shakies like in the other class. it was fun!
i’m learning more and more words every day. here are some of the new words that my parents really understand: spongebob, snack, please, wall, dog, cartoon.
